The Big Yellow School Bus is Back
Due to high demand, the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs has brought back its popular Big Yellow School Bus Program for the 2007-2008 school year. This is a one-time only funding opportunity provided to Iowa public and private schools, grades pre-K through 12.
Any school district in Iowa is eligible to apply. The funding will be used to underwrite the cost of students attending an event at an Iowa arts organization.
Support will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. A simple final report will need to be completed following the event.
The Big Yellow School Bus application form will be available after July 1, 2007 online on the Iowa Arts Council Website at www.iowaartscouncil.org. Applicants may also contact Linda Lee, 515-242-6194, for more detailed information, eligibility and guidelines, and an application form.
